Mary has always loved to tell stories, whether that involved writing them down or telling them to anyone who would listen. She spent her teen years publishing columns in her local small-town newspaper before marrying her high school sweetheart. After nearly a decade spent going where the Navy sent them, they settled back home to raise their family. Mary now lives in a growing Coastal Alabama town with her husband, their 3 boys and 2 spoiled lapdogs. When she's not busy with her writing, you can find her curled up with a book or a ball of yarn.
Here are some fun things about Mary:
Do you have another job other than being a writer?
I'm a mom, wife and part time interventional radiology tech at a busy hospital.
Did you ever think you would be unable to finish your first novel/novella/short story?
Absolutely! It took me more than 5 years to finish my first book. The longer it took for it to find its way, the less I believed it would ever be finished. One day, I realized that it was finished. I wasn't sure how I'd gotten there, but it was done. Then I had to convince myself to put it out into the world. That was almost harder than writing it.
What inspired you to write?
Since I was a child I've always loved books. When I was old enough to understand that books were created by people, it became my dream to write one. Storytelling has really always been my passion.

When Bree Warren goes out for a night on the town with her best friend, she never expects to run into the man she's dreamt of for the past ten years. The nightmare has haunted her sleep for so long. The startled look of recognition in the stranger's eyes is even more unexpected.
What happens next will throw these two people together in ways they never imagined. Suddenly, they're both targets, hiding from a mysterious group bent on killing them and thrown into a war between two centuries-old factions. The more they learn, the more questions they have. Neither of them asked for this, but fate seems to have other plans for them. The only way to survive is together.
What is your next/latest project?
I'm working on the second book in the Praetorian Saga. I'm hoping for a late summer release. I'm also working on a prequel novella focusing on some familiar characters from the Praetorian world.
