Long-time computer geek and lover of all things fantasy, Morigan loves to read, is a not-so-secret addict of MMORPG games, and wanna-be artist and illustrator, whose biggest goal with her writing is to try to bring the same experience people have loved from authors like John Flanagan, J.R.R. Tolkien, or George R.R. Martin. Diving into young adult fantasy, epic fantasy, even dark fantasy, Morigan brings them all to her worlds.
After a successful career in web development with multiple Fortune 500 companies, governmental agencies, and local non-profits across the U.S., she currently lives with her son and cats in West Virginia, where she continues to write, draw, paint, cook, and enjoy the outdoors.
Here are some fun things about Morgan:
Do you have another job other than being a writer?
I spent over 20 years in I.T. and web development, specifically. While I still do that work, it has now become my "side hustle" and my main career is as a writer.
Did you ever think you would be unable to finish your first novel/novella/short story?
No, surprisingly. Once I made the commitment - the actual commitment and choice - that I was no longer going to do what "they" said I "should" do (a.k.a. have a "real" job), and I was going to focus on my writing, the rest came pretty easily. I have several decades of book ideas just waiting to be written. As it always is... the hardest part is just before you start. :)
What inspired you to write?
I've wanted to be an author since I was a wee lass. :D A good chunk of my childhood was spent reading any book I could get my hands on. I remember finishing E.B. White's 'Trumpet of the Swan', and thinking, "that's what I want to do". I still have that old 1970 original printing of that book, a little tattered and worse for wear, but I still have it. :)
What has been your most successful avenue to get reviews on Amazon?
As simplistic as it sounds... asking for reviews. It's the same adage as in sales - you won't get a sale if you don't ask for the sale. I ask readers specifically at the end of my books, I also ask on my social media through the use of image posts "here's how to leave a great review" or "here's how you can help your author friends". Simple, but it works.

The long days of peace have ended... an old darkness has returned. Cali Flynn's life is over... At least that's how she sees it.
An ancient evil, hidden and lost to legend for generations, has crept from the shadows shattering the people of Edelaine's tranquil way of life... and possibly their very existence.
Catastrophe rips Cali and her friends from the peaceful farm life they've always known, changing their world forever.
Shoved into a destiny she doesn't want and a family legacy she never knew, Cali is forced to trust in an unknown power she doesn't understand.
Now, Cali must accept this life she's charged with, learn her own strength, and forge a path forward. If she fails to bring everyone together and convince them of the looming evil, the region of Edelaine, and the entire world of Idoramin could fall into darkness.
Can Cali make peace with all she lost and protect her people from the darkness to come?
What is your next/latest project?
I am finishing up the third book in the Idoramin Chronicles series, along with a character novella. Currently the Idoramin series is looking to be at least six books - maybe more. So I expect it will keep me busy for a while. I also have another series already planned for after Idoramin as well.
