JCaroline Akervik has been an avid reader since the fourth grade when she encountered the magical world of Narnia. In her own work, Caroline seeks to write from the heart and to transport her readers and give wings to their imaginations. Caroline writes for young people, but agrees with C.S. Lewis that "A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest.
Here are some fun things about Caroline:
Do you have another job other than being a writer?
Did you ever think you would be unable to finish your first novel/novella/short story?
My sister and I took more than ten years to complete Halcyon: A Sentinel Novel. When the paperback ARC finally arrived, it was nearly overwhelming to finally have in our hands.
What inspired you to write?
I have been an avid reader my entire life. My favorite memories of elementary school involved the school library.
What has been your most successful avenue to get reviews on Amazon?
Another author offered up my ARC to her street team. This has produced the most reviews of any of my books thus far.

Parallel universes, an invasion of Earth, and eternally youthful sentinels.
Nothing is as it seems at University School.
Hailey Schick is used to being the new girl, but when she angers the dominant clique, her dreams of a normal school year are dashed. To make matters worse, Trevor, the boy she's falling for is a social pariah.
When eternally young sentinels from a parallel universe infiltrate the school, it's up to Hailey and Trevor to stop them. But how are a pair of teens who can barely handle high school drama supposed to save Earth?
What is your next/latest project?
I am working on a YA novella entitled "Summer Snow" which is about an ephemeral, sun kissed, summer romance.
